Avaloketeshvara ( Tibetan - Chenrezig) is the bodhisattva who embodies the campassion of all Buddhas. He is the most widely revered bodhisattva in Buddhism. Avaloketeshvara is considered the earthly manifestation of the self born, eternal Buddha Amitabha.There are several forms of various emanations of Avaloketeshvara. This is one form in which he has 11 heads, 1000 arms and 1000 eyes so that he can benefit the maximum number of sentient beings.
