Sushma Kothari

Born in Northeast India and currently based between San Francisco and Mumbai, Sushma
Kothari is a printmaker whose work is deeply rooted in memory, nature, and human
connection. Her practice, which centers on etching and linocut—a process she sees as akin
to storytelling, where each carved line mirrors the act of remembering. Drawing from her
travels, familial ties, and life’s transient moments, Sushma creates poetic, layered works that
evoke a sense of belonging and quiet introspection.
