Aafasil Luhar

Copper bell making is an ancient craft of Kachchh, and Aafasil’s family have been in this profession for over 10 generations. Aafasil’s creative endeavour had been to create bell-sounds that are rich in harmonics. Using intuition and skill, Aafasil reconstructs this craft, moving beyond the copper bell. He explores new ways to evolve the form and function of his traditional craft, creating work that is both unique and contemporary.
