Preeti Das

Preeti Das is a Madhubani artist based in Bhopal and has been practicing this art for over 10 years. She was part of an artist community that mostly sold through subsidized Government exhibitions, with limited exposure to diverse art formats. This changed after her participation in Project Tarasha’s design mentorship. She developed a distinctive series in the Madhubani style after her site visit to Sanchi. This work, done using a limited color palette, was appreciated at exhibitions for its uniqueness and potential. It represents an exciting new direction in her practice. Preeti also underwent the Digital Skill module and emerged from the six-month mentorship with stronger visualization and expression skills. She is explorative and has strong drawing skills and is now being encouraged to continue with more contemporary themes.
