Meera George

Meera George is a versatile contemporary artist whose work spans digital art, drawings, mixed media art, installations and performance art. An alumna of Delhi College of Art and Kent Institute of Art & Design, UK, Meera’s work comments on the impermanence of existence, the climate emergency and eco anxiety, and feminist issues. Her stunning mixed media art works are inspired by nature’s ability to accept everything in its fold without distinction, and call attention to both the beauty surrounding us and the destruction it is being subjected to. These works incorporate materials ranging from fabric, acrylic sheets and ribbons to pressed flowers, seeds, burnt paper and more. Deeply passionate about art, Meera also teaches art and conducts community based art workshops, working closely with NGOs for women and children.
