Ashita Majumdar Ganatra

Ashita Majumdar is a self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist working across photography, digital hyper-collage, and mixed media. Drawing inspiration from Hindu mythology, her work explores themes of identity, spirituality, and self-discovery.

Her practice is deeply performative, with many works created as self-portraits. From conceptualisation and styling to photographing and digitally composing intricate hyper-collages, she remains involved in every stage of the process. By merging multiple photographic elements from her own work, she reimagines reality into surreal, layered narratives.
Her final works are printed on canvas or fine art paper using archival inks and are often embellished with gold foil, Tanjore gold sheets, kundan stones, and hand embroidery, adding texture, luminosity, and material richness to the image.
