While rooted in Ajrakh tradition, Khalid’s work subverts and expands its boundaries. The work elaborate on his unique visual approach to the craft, peppered with questions on the limits of traditional craft practices today. He combines elements of Ajrakh craft with layers, masks, brush strokes and erasures creating broken patterns and stand-alone art works.
