"Tulips By The Window" captures yellow and purple blooms on a sunlit ledge, set against an arched window overlooking a soft green landscape. Gentle, impressionistic brushstrokes and luminous light bring a quiet sense of calm and indoor harmony to the scene.
With roots in Delhi and Punjab and having lived and worked across different parts of Maharashtra, Vandana Krishna’s artistic sensibility has been shaped by a diverse cultural landscape.
Her artistic practice moves fluidly between figuration and abstraction, often placing figures within atmospheric landscapes or layered environments, inviting viewers to find their own meaning within the work. The artist is fascinated by the emotional depth that can emerge from everyday moments. Her recent works explore the urban landscape of Mumbai—its glass façades, open skies, and rain-soaked streets—using reflection as both a visual motif and a metaphor for perception, memory, and inner experience.
