Pushing the limits of Bandhani and clamp-dye techniques, the Khatri brothers arrange dots, forms, and textures in fresh ways, creating intricate relationships of the fabric’s canvas. The brothers’ innovative approach reflects a broader understanding of design, informed by a willingness to absorb contemporary inflences and the vibrant colours encountered in their travels. They have played a pivotal role in bringing Bandhani to international prominence, always attentive to the evolving needs of the craft. Yet, they recognize the need to pause and recalibrate.
