SRJ (Surajit Chakraborty)

SRJ (Surajit Chakraborty) is an award-winning contemporary artist based in Calcutta, whose choice of medium is acrylic on canvas and paper. Much of his work is inspired by cities: their diversity, the coexistence of the old and the new, and their beauty amidst seeming chaos. Surajit’s compositions are abstractions of this theme, brought to life through a remarkable interplay of form, colour and light. He has a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Rabindra Bharati University, and his work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
