Reflections Of The Black Moon is part of a series exploring motifs across cultures. The black moon, a waning moon that is a mere sliver of crescent, is seen as a time to let go and reflect on the past with gratitude. The idea of reflections is literal, as the moon seemingly rests atop the charpoy frame, and metaphorical, as the tapestry invites introspection. The natural materials used cue tangibility, while the moon suggests celestial realms; this blend of earthly and cosmic evokes themes of personal growth,
ritual, and the interconnectedness of things.
