The Urban Patchwork series delves into stories etched into the exteriors of urban Indian homes, exploring how a city's architecture and the daily lives of its people intersect. In this piece the artist looks at the Dalan Bari, an arched portico along the central courtyard of 18th and 19th century houses in Bengal. The Dalan Bari was also a stage where life unfolded for the families living there.
