White Tara is worshipped in Tibetan Buddhism as the goddess of compassion, long life, healing, and serenity: a manifestation of Tara, a bodhisattva who alleviates suffering and guides
devotees toward enlightenment. White Tara is typically depicted in a meditative posture,
adorned with jewels, radiating calm. The lotus throne symbolises the unfolding of spiritual realization, and rising above the muddy waters of materialism. The deity’s seven eyes enable her to watch over all living beings, as her right hand is extended in a gesture of blessing, and her left holds a lotus, an icon of purity and enlightenment.
Care instructions: Keep indoors, away from light. Do not wipe the painting.
