This exquisitely detailed masterpiece is a Tanjore style painting on a old gopuram styled kavadi depicting Ramar Pattabhishekam, Lord Rama's coronation ceremony. Lord Rama is one of the most popular deities in Hinduism. Considered as purushottama or ‘the supreme being’, he is the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. His coronation took place in Ayodhya, after he defeated Ravana in Lanka. The painting also features Sita, Hanuman and the Saptarishis, amongst others. The piece has been very finely executed and almost brings the scene to life. A beautiful piece to adorn your home wall
Care instructions: Wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, dampness, heat or cold.
